Fertilisers From Your Kitchen Waste

Monday, March 15th, 2010
Everyday there are million tons of kitchen waste ended on the open land fields. Those waste are from millions family house hold around the world. In several developing countries, those waste are let mix together with other type of waste which can be very toxic. In other hand, some developed countries they just incernate those waste for quick solution.
But because the population is growing very fast, the number of kitchenwastes produced by family houses is exponentially increased. Both method will damage the environment. First one will contaminate the underground water and spreding bad smell. The second one will pollute the air as the result of the combution.
Actually kitchenwaste still has some use after all. You can just collect kitchenwaste (except the oily stuff) into a compost bin and cover them with dirt or sands. Those waste within one month would become a top fertiliser for your garden.
But either most people don’t care or don’t know they just chuck those waste into rubbish bins. It seems like it is time to wake them up and open their eyes. It could make different if we can increase the percentage of people who becomes aware off this issue.
